As a Southern Wisconsin photographer, I have access to so many beautiful parks. The beautiful Magnolia Bluff County Park near Evansville Wisconsin is one of my favorite Southern Wisconsin parks. With the gorgeous trails through the woods and the undeniable view from the bluffs, it's hard to pass up. That's why, when I suggested this amazing Southern Wisconsin park to Sara, I was thrilled she and Britta thought the same!
So we took the warm 37 degree Wisconsin weather as a good sign for a hike with Britta. Seeing old friends with their own rescue, truly makes my heart happy. These dogs [and of course all rescue animals] have been through way to much, but still open their hearts to love. And when Sara found Britta, Sara allowed herself to do the same. Even though growing up in a home with many animals; dogs, cats, horses and cows, there is something about bringing home your first pup to your own home. Britta came all the way from Texas to live with Sara in Southern Wisconsin, and while they never knew each other before that, I do believe God planned out this bond from the beginning. The love of a dog is unconditional, a perfect example of how God loves us. And when they look up at you, that feeling, it warms you to the core. But when you see the way Sara looks back at Britta, well it flat up made me melt. Who rescued who, that is the real question I hear so much for rescues. When you look at the bond these two have, in just a short part of their hopefully long story, it's incredible. I can only imagine how much stronger their adorable bond will become.
Having loved many rescues myself, this session holds a special place in my heart. These animals need and deserve this kind of love. They deserve to be family. Those bonds, those cherished memories, that's why these babies the get the name Man's Best Friend.
And that is why I cannot wait for you two see Sara and her best friend take hold of the memories that are making! And as a Southern Wisconsin Photographer, I could not imagine doing anything but capturing it all! So if you have stuck with me this long, know that I am not a crazy cat lady...I AM A CRAZZYYY DOG LADY!!!!
Thank you Sara + Britta for being totes adorbs!
xoxo Elise Marie

Because when you see their bond, you know your heart is melting a little thinking about your fur baby. Tell me why your little...or big critter is your perfect best friend.
